A small stake out on the Water Meadows once the rain had eased. A Green Sandpiper, Greylag Goose 2, Egyptian Goose, House Martin 2, Coot 2.

The fields were being rotavated on the main farm which attracted 200+ gulls which were mainly Herring with Lesser-black Backed, Mediterranean and Black-headed Gull also present.

A return to the Farm for Common Bird Census survey day. A Cattle Egret was a new entry to the data list. These birds are becoming more regular on the farm. It helps tht the cattle are back out grazing in the fields!

Preparation of fields for seeding saw a good number of gulls visiting the site including c15 Mediterranean Gulls.

Six areas are covered in the surveys; Causeway Pond, Burleston Pond, The Shales, Chalk Pit, Waterbarn Cottages and Bardolf Manor. 

Singing birds included Robin 31, Chiffchaff 19, Blackcap 15, Greenfinch 5, Chaffinch 4, Cettis Warbler 3.
