20th September 2024

There was a gull fest on Jackies today as the rotovator was being put over the field. The majority of the 600+ gulls were Herring with the Lesser Black Backed Gull also present.

A Cattle Egret joined the line before departing. No other species of gull was noted on the fields despite a thorough search.

The first returning Teal of the Autumn was noted amongst over 60 Mallards on the pool at Mill Mead this morning. Four Little Egret were also present.
